Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are one of the hottest couples today, but before they were an item, the Scottish DJ dated British singer Rita Ora.
The 31-year-old record producer and the 24-year-old songstress have been in a relationship for more than a year when he suddenly ditched her. To make it worse, he announced their split up on social media.
"To address speculation - myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best," Harris wrote on Twitter.
"Rita was left embarrassed when he tweeted that it was all over. She didn't think he was going to make the announcement, so she was shocked," a source revealed to The Sun.
Taylor Swift's boyfriend Calvin Harris may have moved on easily from his breakup with Rita Ora, but the songstress was the opposite of that.
Latest reports revealed that the EDM superstar ruined the career of "The Voice UK" coach because she couldn't focus on her music.
"This whole impression that my album hasn't been an easy process is really bollocks," she told Digital Spy via Mirror. "It's not that it hasn't been, it's that I've put personal issues first because I'm a girl."
She's most probably referring to her nasty split up from the DJ.
"I was distracted and got carried away and it didn't really work out. I was affected by it so I just put everything on hold because I was a sulky 24-year-old and I was hurt," Rita confessed. "And now I'm back."
The British bombshell has recently released her latest track "Body on Me" which featured Chris Brown. She also revealed that her new album will come out this September.
During an interview with Marie Claire, Rita Ora claims that she was the one who ended her relationship with Taylor Swift's boyfriend Calvin Harris.
"There was a reason why I split up with him," she said. "It was more of a thing where I was in awe. I was at that point in my relationship where I felt he could do no wrong. I thought he had my back and that he'd never steer me wrong."
