While fans wait for the official announcement of "Attack on Titan" season 2 release date, possible spoilers were released ahead.
Kpopstarz noted that there are actually a number of publications that suggested a death of a major characters.

Apparently, when "Attack on Titan" season 2 arrives, it will also meet the death of Captain Levi Ackerman.
Latin Times dropped the spoilers pointing out that the Captain is most likely going to die in "Attack on Titan" season 2 noting that PIXISSUUU magazine reported that the next season will take on manga chapter 73, where it will focus on the death of Captain Levi while saving the new squad, Shiganshina trio consists of Eren Yaeger, Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert.
Additionally, possible spoilers also claim that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will get to see more of Ymir and Krista Lenz, revealing that Lenz is actually a Historia Reiss, the daughter of Rod Reiss.
While the said possible spoilers should be taken with a grain of salt, it should also be noted that the speculations were based on the manga, which is very much likely to be adapted in the anime series.
And as the "Attack on Titan" season 2 development progress, Crunchy Roll reported that the anime series will most likely going to be released next year.
"The anime is set to return to TV to continue the adaptation of Hajime Isayama's hit manga in 2016," the publication reported.
VC Post added that that director Testsuro Araki already confirmed that "Attack on Titan" season 2 release date is indeed happening in 2016.
Meanwhile, additional spoilers suggest that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will cover the story arc of "Clash of Titans."
"The fifth story arc of the 'Attack on Titan,' the 'Clash of Titans' arc encompasses the Titans appearance inside the wall, which forced 104th Trainees Squad to a brutal battle against those mysterious Titans," Kpopstarz reported. "Unknown to them, those Titans are actually members from their group. Eren, shocked, battles them in a decisive battle."
