Where to now for Tim Tebow? The one time Heisman Trophy winner has been released by Philadelphia Eagles Saturday after signing him in the off season. He is fighting for the team's third quarterback position and although he made a good account of himself during the pre-season, coach Chip Kelly decided to give him his walking papers.
Will another NFL team adopt Tim Tebow? According to insiders, the 28-year old could be headed to Canada. That is if he will heed Kelly's advise on him to go to CFL.
"Chip Kelly told Tim Tebow that he should play in the CFL to get more reps, according to a league source," Philadelphia Eagles reporter Zach Berman wrote on his Twitter.
Tim Tebow was almost sure in breaking the team's final line up based on the stats released by NFL. Nothing was sure when he signed with the team months ago but his performance made the release a surprise to many American football fans.
Kelly spoke about Tim Tebow's release Saturday and he pointed to the lack of playing time.
"I talked to a little earlier today when we released him," Kelly said according to a report by NJ.com. "He just needs to get more playing time. Get out there and get actual reps. Because he has done a ton on his own from an individual basis, but it is about taking that next step and playing (in) the game."
A day after his release, Tim Tebow took to Twitter to send his gratitude to Philadelphia Eagles.
