Floyd Mayweather Jr - Andre Berto fight is happening in just one week and this could be the last chance for boxers to foil Pretty Boy's shot at history.
The welterweight champ and Forbes' highest-earning athlete of 2015 is still undefeated and Berto is hoping to the be the first one to stain that record.
Win or lose, Floyd Jr does not care though. He believes he will go down as boxing's greatest ever once the fight with Andre Berto is over. The 38-year old pro boxer made this statement while also throwing jabs on May 2 opponent Manny Pacquiao.
"Before I fought Pacquiao, people were saying he is an all-time great," Floyd Mayweather Jr told the press as per report by Mirror.
"If he's an all-time great, what does that make me? If he's the Fighter of the Century, what does that make me? All I can do is believe in myself and believe in my skills and we will see come September 12th. I'm going to be TBE until the day I die."
Floyd Mayweather Jr - Andre Berto fight will take place on September 12 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas and if Pretty Boy wins, he will tie the 49-0 record of Rocky Marciano.
Many people and athletes are criticizing Floyd Mayweather Jr for his cockiness, including his verbal jabs at Pacman, claims Muhammad Ali is not the greatest and more.
He does not care about the critics either. He said he is just more focused on his fight instead of giving attention to negativity.
"I didn't even know about that," he said when asked about the negative comments towards him.
"All I do every day is I go to the gym, I train, I leave, I go eat, I go see shows on The Strip, go the movies, go bowling, go shopping. That's about it. At home, rest. People will always criticise. That goes with the territory. I don't read it, I don't know about it. I couldn't care less. Nobody is forced to watch.
"Watch if you want to watch. If you don't want to watch, then don't watch. Write about it if you want to write about it. If you don't, then don't write about it," he added.
"At the end of the day, if you write good or bad, continue to write. Keep me relevant."
Who will win in Floyd Mayweather Jr - Andre Berto fight? Will Floyd retire after it like what he insists?
