2013's "Blurred Lines," Robin Thicke's hit NSFW music video, made her a household name. But actress-slash-model Emily Ratajkowski would rather forget the whole thing.
"I wasn't all into the idea at all at first," Ratajkowski told InStyle UK where she appears on its cover for the first time on October.
"I think I came off as a bit annoyed in the video. Now it's the bane of my existence."
In "Blurred Lines," the 24-year-old British actress and fellow models Elle Evans and Jessi M'Bengue appear topless and in nude skimpy underwear in the unrated version. A less racy version exists as well.
Prior to her appearance in the music video, Ratajkowski had a recurring role in Nickelodeon's "iCarly" and appeared in the movie "A Year in the Day," according to E! Online.
"When anyone comes up to me about [the music video], I'm like, 'are we seriously talking about a video from three years ago?'" she added.
In case you bump into her, you can ask about her starring role opposite Ben Affleck in "Gone Girl" and in "Entourage." Her most recent work is with Zac Efron in "We Are Your Friends."
Despite her sex symbol status, Ratajkowski also told InStyle UK that she doesn't get why a woman's naked body is so controversial.
"My mum taught me to never apologise for my sexuality. My dad never made me feel embarrassed. I also don't think I've ever had an awareness of my own body as being super-sexual. It was always just my body."
With "Blurred Lines" in her rear view mirror, the Sports Illustrated model told MarieClaire that she's "looking for complex, dynamic, interesting female characters" and revealed she's actually a huge fan of "Game of Thrones" and "Lord of the Rings."
Unfortunately, the brunette stunner said many female characters "are really one-dimensional" but with more women taking over Hollywood, Emily Ratajkowski's dream role could be right around the corner.
