Ed Skrein Revealed ‘Deadpool’ Is A Dream Project! Actor Says He’s No Match With Ryan Reynolds

| By

Ed Skrein played a hero in "The Transporter Refueled" but fans will now see his bad side in "Deadpool" which is scheduled to hit the theaters on Feb. 12, 2016.

During an interview with Metro, the British heartthrob revealed how excited he was being part of the film and what fans can expect in Tim Miller's upcoming movie.

"It was a dream project," Skrein admitted. "[The trailer] is not even close to the extreme irreverence and violence and depths of terrible immature humor that we sink to in the wonderful movie." The "Deadpool" trailer was released last month and it gave fans a glimpse of Ryan Reynolds' thrilling stunts and funny antics. It also featured a scene between the superhero and the villain Ajax which is played by Ed Skrein.

In a separate interview with TheWrap's "Drinking with the Stars" episode, the 32-year-old actor shared his experience working with Reynolds and admitted that he is no match with the actor when it comes to wit.

"Ryan is the master of one-liners," he told Greg Gilman who is the host of the show.

"I'd walk off and have to bite my knuckles to not laugh while the set was still going. Then they'd yell 'Cut!' and everyone would start howling and laughing," Ed Skrein added. In the comic book version, Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) is a former Special Forces soldier who underwent experimental treatment to cure his cancer. The treatment left him scarred permanently but has gained superhuman powers.

Ajax (Ed Skrein), on the other hand, works at the laboratory where Wade got his powers. The "Deadpool" trailer showed a fight scene between the superhero and the villain.

The host asked how it was different from his action scenes in "The Transporter Refueled."

"With 'Transporter,' you're going to see a lot of sequences where you have continuous beats. So we didn't have to cut so you could punch someone a hundred feet across, or lift someone up and throw a tanker at them or throw a car at them," he explained. "'Deadpool' we shot entirely differently. We would tailor each shot for each impact," Ed Skrein added.
