"Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void" release date will be announced on Sept. 13, game developer confirmed.
Blizzard Entertainment announced on its website that it will hold a special event for the most anticipated "Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void" which will finally unveil the game's release date, Softpedia reported.
The game developer wrote on its Blizzard.net:
"An ancient evil threatens the fate of the entire galaxy, and only you can stop it. Join us, along with your readers, to take part in the unveiling of all-new content for StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void, including:
-The world premiere of the Legacy of the Void cinematic and launch date reveal.
-A preview of what's to come in Legacy of the Void from StarCraft II's senior developers.
-The thrilling conclusion to the StarCraft II WCS Season 3 Finals live from Poland."
IGN added that the livestream event will be shown at StarCraft Twitch channel. It starts at 10am PDT on Sept. 13, while "Starcraft" fans in southern California can watch the event at Blizzard Barcraft in downtown Los Angeles at the Theater at Ace Hotel wherein William "Chobra" Cho will host the premiere live in Poland.
Blizzard Entertainment has already confirmed during its quarterly call to investors that "Starcraft 2:Legacy of the Void" will arrive this year, but did not specified its release date.
Following this news, online retailer Raru listed the game's release date as Nov. 27 pm on its website.
Reportedly, the online retailer has previously leaked accurate details about Greninja, Jigglypuff and Splatoon Amiibo. However, Lazygamer noted that the leaked detail "doesn't exactly line-up with traditional Tuesday launch dates in the USA," but "fit with common South African and European release day practices."
