"The Strain" season 2 episode guide has been released and the title per se is talking about "battle."
This could be referring to the fight between surviving humans and vampires. In the sidelines though, there is another fight going on, a tug of war for child custody.
After getting infected last season, Kelly Goodweather (Natalie Brown) returned to life but now, with a new kind of identity and drive.
Although she has been altered by the vampire virus, she hasn't forget her son and that is what she is all for this second season. She is out for blood but she still loves her son Zach (Max Charles) who still cannot accept that his mother is now with the enemy.
Natalie Brown said what is going on between Kelly and husband Eph Goodweather (Corey Stoll) is like a battle for custody.
"I think that a lot of the circumstances that were present before Kelly was turned are retained within her memories, it fuels the feud between Kelly and Eph," Brown told International Business Times when asked for "The Strain" season 2 episode guide for her character's fate.
"Guillermo [del Toro] had described it as the custody battle that never ends in the first audition and now I know exactly what he was talking about."
The website also said Brown's character will continue to go after Zach and she will leave no stones unturned to achieve it, even the lives of her former friends and loved ones.
When asked for further "The Strain" season 2 episode guide regarding other characters, Brown said more alliances will be made and lines will crossed.
"The battle lines continued to be drawn, alliances continue to be formed and made, alliances continue to be crossed and the story just gets richer and more exciting by the episode," she said.
"I'm as anxious as everyone else to see what the writers have in store next season and can't wait for everyone to see how the rest of the season unfolds."
Next episode is called "The Battle of Red Hook." Read "The Strain" season 2 episode guide below:
