Manchester United reportedly shelled out £36M to lure Monaco's Anthony Martial.
The Red Devils has won a tough bid against Barcelona, Paris St Germain, Chelsea and Manchester City for Monaco's Anthony Martial.
The 19-year-old striker's deal is the most expensive as to date-beating Cristiano Ronaldos's £12.24m in 2003, Daily Mail reported.
Aside from the "premium" payment of £36M, Manchester United added three bonuses worth €10m each. Monaco will receive the first bonus when Anthony Martial reaches first 25 goals in all competitions for the club, while the second will follow when he earns 25 caps for France "between now and June 2019." And the last bonus will be given when he wins Ballon d'Or award, according to IB Times.
Meanwhile, Paul Merson assumes that Anthony's transfer to Manchester United could put "a lot of pressure on the lad," Sky Sports added.
"That's a lot of money for someone who has been playing in Monaco in front of 5,000-6,000 people every week, on top of a car park," Merson said.
"Then you have to go and play in front of 70,000 people as the most expensive teenager of all time."
But the 19-year-old striker was quick to brush off this speculation.
"I don't feel the pressure," he told MUTV.
"I know there is pressure but I'm ready for it. I'm very happy because it's a big club in England. I'm very proud. I'm very happy because I worked hard for this and my family is very happy about it.
"I spoke with the coach, Louis van Gaal, and I know that I need to work very hard. It's not easy to speak about myself but I am a very fast player. I hope that everything will go well for me at this club. I'm very happy because the supporters are great here. I will be ready when the time comes."
