2K Games and Turtle Rock Studio confirmed that "Evolve" for PC and Xbox One will be free to play this weekend.
With the stiff competition between multiplayer games, players of the first-person shooter game "Evolve" were "constantly declining" since its launch on February, according to Digital Trends.
And to lure back its players game developers 2K Games and Turtle Rock Studio announced a free to play of the game, Bulletin Leader reported.
The free to play for Xbox One and PC version will roll out Sept. 04. So, for those gamers who would like to have a blast this coming Labor day weekend might want to take this opportunity.
The game developers also confirmed that all DLCs will be free including Goliath monster and DLC Hunters for first time players, while owners of "Evolve" who don't have the complete DLCs will be able to access them for free as well.
But current owners of the game must note that DLCs will revert back after the free to play, and this will apply to both Xbox One and PC platforms.
Meteor Goliath DLC offer an alternate character with new looks, effects, audio and gameplay into a stunning, blue-fire wrapped package.
In addition, first time players who wished to purchase the game may keep their progression from the free to play, Digital Trends reported.
"Evolve" free to play will start from Sept. 03 (12:00 AM PDT) through Sept.07 (10:00 AM PDT) for PC, while Xbox One may play the game later at Sept. 04 (12:01 AM PDT) until Sept. 06 (11:59 PM PDT).
Moreover, Hunting Season 2 Pack which includes Behemoth Monster and the Hunters Torvald, Crow, Sunny and Slim will be free on Sept. 05 for 24 hours, according to TVNewsroom.
