| By

It's been a couple of months since the world welcomed Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter's son last June.

With neither a photo nor a glimpse of the "Sherlock" star's first-born, fans were left to imagine his face and even his name!

Now the couple, married for six months already, finally revealed their son's name and the fandom could not be any happier! Did they listen to any of the suggestions given by followers?

According to People, the theater actors went the traditional but poetic route and chose Christopher Carlton Cumberbatch for their first child's moniker.

Fans all over the world are celebrating the choice.

"Benedict Cumberbatch's son is going to be v v v attractive," one fan posted on Twitter, while WhoSay noted that the name is "an alliteration lover's dream come true."

Others thought it was cute, as one follower wished to set Christopher Carlton up with another famous baby - Princess Charlotte.

Bustle thought it was "refreshingly traditional in a way," with all the unique names celebrity's kids are getting these days. On the other hand, Perez Hilton found it "fancy schmancy" and "dapper."

Meanwhile, fans on Twitter are already adorably christening him "Triple C."

How did Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter come up with their son's name? Thankfully, they didn't take it from any of the outrageous suggestions that fans came up with.

People reported that at least one of the names was from his paternal family tree.

"Carlton is a family middle name that has been passed down, shared by both the actor, his father and now the new addition," the report said.

Meanwhile, Contact Music noted that Cristopher came "from a character Benedict played in the BBC TV adaptation of Sir Tom Stoppard's play 'Parade's End.'"

Other fans pointed out that Christopher was also the name of his character's best friend in "The Imitation Game."

What do you think of Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter's son getting the "fancy" name of Christopher Carlton Cumberbatch?
