It will be mostly about reunions when "Arrow" season 4 premiere episode airs.
Earlier spoilers said the pilot episode of CW show's fourth run will see Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) returning to Starling City after an escapade with girlfriend Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards).
Oliver will surely be happy seeing his friends again, especially those with whom he is in debt with. However, there is one guy lurking around, someone that is totally unwelcome in the city he is protecting.
TV Line reported this season's big bad Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) has already reached Starling City in Oliver's homecoming. In fact, he will appear in one of the parties in the city.
"Although renaming Oliver's hometown is not Darhk's handiwork, you can be sure that he will cast a long shadow - though never skulk in one - on the rebranded Star City," TV Line wrote when a fan asked for an "Arrow" season 4 spoiler, following it up with a quote from executive producer Marc Guggenheim.
"He's very different from our previous Big Bads in that he's not hiding in the shadows," Guggenheim shared to TV Line. "But at the same time, he doesn't have a public persona."
That, however, won't keep him from crashing VIP gatherings. In the Oct. 7 premiere, for example, "He shows up at a very public meeting that Lance is present at," the EP previews. "If Darhk wants to show up somewhere, he's certainly going to!""
He did not emphasize though whether the "Prince of Darkness" will show his powers to Starling City heroes right in the "Arrow" season 4 premiere night. Nevertheless, Oliver Queen will still have his hands full.
Among other things Oliver need to settle in "Arrow" season 4 premiere episode is John Diggle (David Ramsey) being mad at him for the things he did while staying with Ra's al Ghul, including kidnapping Diggle's wife.
"Dig has a huge bone to pick with Oliver when they see each other again, at the top of Season 4," executive producer Wendy Mericle said in an interview with Collider.
"We're gonna work that out. It's not gonna be easy. With what happened to Dig's family, it's really tough to buy that back, and Oliver is not gonna to be able to. Obviously, they can't be mad at each other forever, or what are we doing? But also, in the intervening months while Oliver has been gone, Dig has, more or less, been leading the team. It's a little bit more democratic, Speedy and Black Canary are both super bad-ass and kicking butt. He's not happy, when he and Oliver meet again. It's not an open-armed, "Hey, buddy, all is forgiven," reunion."
"Arrow" season 4 premiere date is Oct. 7.
