Liv Moore (Rose McIver) will be eating more brains and solving more crimes according to the recently released "iZombie" season 2 trailer!
Just like season one, the brain-eating medical examiner will be working together with Detective Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) to solve murders but there's a new big bad to look out for.
Last season had Blaine menacing the city with this somewhat ingenious business - turning the richest people into zombies and killing homeless kids to feed them. This time, however, a more powerful villain showed up.
"iZombie" writer Diane Ruggerio previously hinted that Max Rager CEO Vaughn Du Clark will be planning an eradication of all the zombies running around in Seattle. This problem will give the audience a chance to see Liv and the newly-turned-human Blaine (David Anders) become reluctant allies.
Make no mistake about Blaine suddenly turning nice in season two, though.
"We're not going to make him cuddly next year," executive producer Rob Thomas previously told TVLine. "If you talked to me a few years ago, I would have thought, 'Well, how in the world, after him spending Season 1 murdering homeless teenagers, could we ever believe him as anything but evil?'"
Speaking of nice friends, Ravi (Rahul Kohli) could also be seen in the new "iZombie" trailer and Liv even joked about wanting a piece of his brain but there's one character that was noticeably absent in the video - Liv's ex-fiance, Major.
The couple had a major falling out in the previous season's finale when he refused Liv's offer of an eternal romance as zombies after saving his life. She then gave him the remaining dose of cure but even that didn't make Major (Robert Buckley) run right back into Liv's arms.
Although they will reportedly start out not in the best of terms in season two, Major will definitely come back, as the showrunners promised to explore their romance some more.
"Now that they both know, and Major knows what he'd be getting into, we're toying with, could they try a romantic relationship in which no bodily fluids were exchanged?" Thomas shared to TV Line in a previous interview. "It's sort of a great existential question of, could you have a romantic partner with whom the sexual limits were very, very strict? How would that go? We may explore that."
