Potterheads are getting a little spoiled these days. Not only is Warner Brothers making a spinoff for one of the Hogwarts textbooks, "Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them," JK Rowling also announced a new play (that is not a prequel) about the Boy Who Lived!
Now fashionista fans can wear a piece of the series with LASplash's new "Harry Potter" lipsticks!
According to Buzzfeed, the cosmetic company came out with 17 liquid lipstick shades featuring the different characters of JK Rowling's famous series. The Smitten Liptint Mousse reportedly just cost $14 each.
The line includes shades named after some of the saga's most memorable characters, including "Sirius," "Nymphadora," "Severus," "Lovegood," "Bellatrix," "Hermione," "Ginny" and even "Alastor."
"Lavander," "Spellbound" and "Nagini" are also quite eye-catching.
LASplash's "Harry Potter" lipsticks are certainly making a buzz on social media. However, not all Potterheads were excited about the new line. Several, in fact, bemoaned the fact that the assigned colors for each character was "just a mess."
The dark red for Ravenclaw, according to some Potterheads on social media, should have been the color assigned to Bellatrix. The crazed Death-Eater, on the other hand, should have been given the blood red shade.
"Just because they took the names from a book, they think they're great and geeky. But the colors they used for each one are just No," KpopStarz quoted Facebook user Samantha Miller. "Bellatrix should have been that deep, deep red she wore. Sirius should have been close to black in color. The navy for Bellatrix should have been Ravenclaw. Its just a mess."
"All of these got named super poorly and show a complete lack of understanding of the characters," another fan also shared on her persnonal page.
On the other hand, she did think that the colors were "so gorgeous" despite the fact that they were all given the wrong corresponding name.
