'Halo 5' Is Nothing Compared To 'Gears Of War 4'? Release Date All Set With Two New Characters

| By

No doubt "Gears of War 4" is coming, however the release date has yet to be announced.

Moreover, Trusted Reviews claimed that the highly anticipated game is most likely going to hit the shelves last quarter of 2016.

Meanwhile, Kenny McDonnell of Movie Pilot claimed that "Gears of War 4" is going to be more exciting compared to "Halo 5."

During the recently concluded Gamescom in Köln, Germany, McDonnell's team had a chance to try out upcoming games including "Halo 5" and "Metal Gear Solid V."

Upon trying out "Halo 5," McDonnell assessed that it was disappointingly underwhelming.

"At Gamescom we had the opportunity to try out some multiplayer matches with Halo 5 and they were surprisingly underwhelming."

Now he claimed that he is looking forward to "Gears of War 4" more than "Halo 5."

"But there was another game that I found to be particularly underwhelming and that was Halo 5. After Gamescom, the Xbox One exclusive that I'm looking forward to the most now is Gears of War 4," he said.

And while he did not mention anything more about the "Gears of War 4" not even its release date, Christian Today reported that the game will be introducing two new characters once launched.

Marcus Fenix, who bade his farewell in "GOW 3," will reportedly be replaced by a man named JD and his female companion named Kait.

Moreover, it's been also reported that new characters will be very different from that of Marcus Fenix. The new protagonists are expected to feature an whole new perspective to "Gears of War 4."

"You look at someone in, say, 20 years of age, and there is still much to develop. There is a greater opportunity. The impact of the game on the character may be higher," he said in an article at MyTechBits.com.

In an interview with Rod Fergusson with IGN, he revealed that "Gears of War 4," will return to its roots as a horror game.

"We're going back to something personal, intimate, dark, and mysterious, being afraid of the boogeyman," he told IGN.

With no official release date announcement yet, fans are holding on to reports that "Gears of War 4" is going to be launched at Q4 of 2016.
