Once again hopes are crushed for those Frank Ocean fans hoping that they would see a glimpse of what's install for his new album at FYF Music Festival.
The 27-year-old R&B singer has backed out from his performance, which will reportedly be taken over by Kanye West.
In a report by Entertainment Weekly Frank Ocean's rep released an official statement explaining why he had to drop the event.
"We're really sorry that due to a scheduling conflict beyond our control, Frank Ocean is not going to be able to appear at FYF Festival as planned. Frank had really been looking forward to the performance and to seeing all of his fans, so it is with great regret that we announce this cancellation."
While the statement did not specify as to what kind of scheduling conflict Frank Ocean is experiencing, some fans immediately speculate that it may have something to do with his new album.
It's no secret that fans are still waiting for Frank Ocean to finally release his new album, which he constantly teased over the months, yet no launch has been made yet.
Now, speculations are rampant that the R&B singer may just be preparing for a big release that's why he had to backed out of the FYF Music Festival.
And while no exact date has been announced yet, the new album is expected to feature collaborations with Hit-Boy and Rodney Jenkins, The Fader claimed.
Additionally, well-renowned pianist, Christopher Chassol has also reportedly collaborated with Frank Ocean, Bet reported.
"Ocean invited me to Abbey Road to record on his album," Chassol said. "I asked him how he heard about me. He told me his friend Diplo was listening a lot to [my album] Indiamore, and they started to listen to it, and they were wondering how I was doing the speech harmonization, so he called me. He asked me to do some speech harmonization on a song with him."
