"Arrow" season 4 release date may be months away but the past weeks have been a joy for many fans.
One of the biggest reasons is the addition of Matt Ryan and his short-lived role John Constantine from NBC series of the same name.
A lot of of fans of the "Hellblazer" character were saddened when NBC announced they will no longer continue with "Constantine."
Thanks to the efforts of Stephen Amell, Matt Ryan and his character will grace television again. The better part of it is that the supernatural detective will share the screen with some of DC characters.
When "Arrow" season 4 release date arrives, one of the first things the characters will have to deal with is the resurrection of Sarah Lance (Caity Lotz) from the dead. This is where John Constantine enters.
"I wouldn't say it was a challenge. It is tied to Sara Lance's resurrection," executive producer Wendy Mericle said.
"We knew that Sara had died at the beginning of Season 3 and that she was going to be on Legends, so we had to find a way to bring her back. We were like, "How do you do that?," and he was the most obvious character to do that. We feel honored and excited that we got him, and that Matt Ryan is available. He's amazing."
Bonus:
Stephen Amell, who the mastermind behind Constantine's inclusion in the show revealed they already shot the scenes involving Matt Ryan and the Welsh actor instantly blended in.
"I've been filming scenes all week long with Matt Ryan. He is such a treat," he said of his new co-star.
"And a trip. He's always saying his lines - and he's getting ready to go on Broadway right now with Keira Knightley, so he's always saying those lines too. I can't tell if he's having a conversation with me, or preparing. And sometimes I chime in, [and] he'll be like, I wasn't talking to you, mate."
"Arrow" season 4 release date is October 7. There are no reports yet whether John Constantine will be a constant fixture in the show.
