How To Install Xiaomi MIUI 7 Using Fastboot Utility; See List Of Compatible Devices

If you can no longer wait for Xioami MIUI 7 OTA beta, here's a quick guide on how to install the custom ROM manually.

Two weeks ago, Xiaomi unveiled its new MIUI 7 which brings a refined UI with new four themes that include Rose, Pink Blush, Ocean Breeze and High Life.

Also , it features "XXL Text, Child Mode, Baby Album, Showtime, integrated Opera Max's data saving technology and sleep detection, the latter being used in the company's Mi Band," Tech Times reported.

Beta News added that the new custom ROM improves battery life at claimed 10 percent in and a 30 percent faster than the previous MIUI 6 "with substantially improved response time."

Moreover, the MIUI 7 offers roaming data exclusively for Xiaomi handset owners in China. This feature allows Xiaomi MIUI 7 user to create a virtual local SIM card based on the user's location, whereas it delivers access to mobile data "at an affordable rate," TNW reported.

Xiaomi's Android 5.1 Lollipop based custom ROM has started to roll out in beta version in 36 countries including Hong Kong, Taiwan, US, Japan, UK and Australia.

The MIUI 7 is currently compatible to Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Redmi 2, Mi 4i, Mi 3, Mi 4, Redmi Note 3G and Redmi Note 4G, but Xiaomi handset owners must note that this beta version may still be plagued with few bugs.

"We will push out global beta releases every two weeks on Monday before 7 p.m. Beijing time and we will continue to optimize our global beta program," says the Xiaomi Global Team.

Owners of these handsets may install the MIUI 7 Globa Beta ROM through OTA update or can be downloaded manually using FastBoot Utility.
