"The Flash" season 2 release date is fast approaching but there are no reports yet whether Robbie Amell has been promoted to a series regular.
To be fair, no one from last year's guest stars has been promoted as regular member of the cast. However, there are no reports either how long Amell and his well-received character Firestorm will stay.
There is no assurance yet if Firestorm will be there for good but recent spoiler for "The Flash" season 2 released by CW can somehow confirm Amell's character will have more appearances. Comicbook.com exclusively reported Firestorm villain Henry Hewitt is coming.
"Demore Barnes has been cast as Henry Hewitt, better known as the Firestorm villain Tokamak, on The Flash, ComicBook.com has confirmed exclusively," the website wrote.
"The CW describes the character as "a charming, but cocky scientist who was affected by the same Particle Accelerator explosion that created the Flash. When Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) recruits him to join the team at S.T.A.R. Labs, Hewitt jumps at the opportunity to fulfill his destiny as a powerful meta-human.""
Hewitt is the second former STAR Labs employee confirmed in the show. Reports said Doctor Light, the female one, is also set to grace "The Flash" season 2.
Unlike Hewitt, the alter ego of Doctor Light is more of a good person as she will side with Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and friends.
Also a major addition few weeks before "The Flash" season 2 release date is Jesse Quick who will be played by "Slash" star Violett Beane. This spoiler was first reported by TV Line.
Jesse Quick will be the fourth speedster in the show following the arrival of Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) and Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale).
"The Flash" season 2 release date is Oct. 6. Other cast members returning are Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, John Wesley Shipp, and Jesse L. Martin.
