Is Limp Bizkit preparing to surprise fans with their new album release date?

The American metal band has remained really quiet after teasing the fans of their upcoming album previously called "Stampede of the Disco Elephants."

In a Facebook post made last January, Limp Bizkit revealed that their new record is well on its way to the final stages.

However, it has been apparent that Limp Bizkit has been delaying the release of their new album.

And the reason to the delay has now been clarified after a recent interview with guitarist Wes Borland with Team Rock.

Apparenlty, Fred Durst is still working on his vocal tracks, which made it inevitable for the delay.

"Fred [Durst] has been working on vocals in his home studio nonstop for months and months," Borland explained. "He's told me that he's almost finished, but I don't know what amount of the 28 songs has been finished. I know that he re-records and trashes vocals all the time."

"I don't know, I think he's in a mode where he's liking something that he's doing and not liking other stuff," he added. "But I think he's just now starting to feel a lot more confident in what he's putting in the songs."

After revealing that Limp Bizkit has done 28 new songs, Wes Borland said that the band is making a lot of changes for their new album.

"To be blatantly honest about it, the new album has gone through so many different alterations and so many different session," the Limp Bizkit guitarist said. "I mean, we've gone into five different studios now. I think we're up to 28 songs, or maybe even more. And those are completed songs."
