Is Ed Sheeran's new girlfriend really Nicole Scherzinger?
The rumored couple reportedly grew close after the latter's split from Formula One star and on-off boyfriend, Lewis Hamilton. The acoustic star's music supposedly helped her get through the break-up.
While a source allegedly told Grazia magazine (via Yahoo!) that the alleged new flame are "playing down any romance," the Grammy nominated crooner reportedly brought the "Dontcha" singer to his hometown. Bringing her to Suffolk would also mean that Scherzinger already met Sheeran's parents.
Sources revealed that the invitation happened when "The X-Factor" judge visited Sheeran's concert at the Wembley Arena in July.
"Nicole met Ed's family at the Wembley gig and really hit it off, so he invited her to hang out in his home village of Framlingham in Suffolk a few days later," the source reportedly revealed.
According to the report, he also showed her around the town, bringing her to his favorite hangout spots and introducing her to the locals.
"They ate pizza and drank beers at his favourite pub, The Station, where he has taken Taylor Swift before," the insider further dished.
On the other hand, Perez Hilton declared that all the rumors were just that - rumors.
"The former Pussycat Doll's rep says the only relationship between the two singers is a purely platonic one," the article read, while Sheeran kept mum about the issue.
This isn't the only time that Sheeran was linked to a fellow celebrity. He was reportedly in a brief relationship with British singer Ellie Goulding a couple of years back.
Sheeran allegedly wrote a song about how she cheated on him with one of his friends (rumored to be One Direction's Niall Horan).
However, the "Love Me Like You Do" songstress denied ever dating the "Thinking Out Loud" singer and maintained that they were just friends.
Ed Sheeran's new girlfriend may not be Nicole Scherzinger but they can certainly grow closer together for an awesome song.
