When will DeMarcus Cousins trade speculations end?
Just last week, it was revealed that majority of Sacramento Kings organization are interested in letting the All-Star center go. Among those who gave a YES is newly instilled head coach George Karl.
"Look, again, Sacramento I think wants to hold onto him," wrote Bleacher Report's Howard Beck. "Certainly, owner Vivek Ranadive absolutely wants to hold onto DeMarcus Cousins. But I've been told that if you polled the rest of the organization, the vast majority are in favor of trading DeMarcus Cousins and that would include, though he denies it, coach George Karl. ... It certainly has all the makings of a doomed partnership there."
Los Angeles Lakers are among those who are projected to jumped on a DeMarcus Cousins trade. They are still building the team and with Carlos Boozer reportedly considering playing in China's top league, a void will occur in the squad.
Lakers Nation reported the team is pretty much contented with the current line up but insists it is hard to rule out a DeMarcus Cousins trade when the opportunity presents itself.
"A blockbuster trade with the Kings for Cousins isn't beyond the realm of possibility, but it may be a stretch, especially if Roy Hibbert proves to be the perfect fit in Los Angeles early on. The trade rumors surrounding Cousins will almost certainly continue unless the Kings show they've turned things around in the first two months of the season."
Hibbert is a one-time All-Star but DeMarcus Cousins is just starting to mature and develop. He looked like a monster last season but that is only the start of his stardom.
Right now, Hibber is possibly the Los Angeles Lakers' starting center. From there, the team already lacks height. Coach Byron Scott even said that Kobe Bryant might play some power forward this season. If Julius Randle gets his game back, then maybe they will get a chance for the playoffs.
