Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe Edition was announced in an event in Sao Paolo, Brazil on Friday.
The Asus Zenfone 2, unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show, gets an upgraded version.
The Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe Edition employs its successor's specs and features, it has a 5.5-inch IPS display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for its screen protection.
Under the hood is a 64-Bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor clocked at 25GHz. Its chipset is paired with PowerVR G6430 GPU and a 4GB worth of RAM.
On the camera department, it retains the "13MP rear-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 5-element lens, and Real Tone flash, and a 5 megapixels front-facing camera, f/2.0 aperture, according to Vine Report.
Aside from these, Asus has revamped its internal storage to 256GB making it the first handset to employ such onboard storage. It also features "two Ergonomic Arc back case designs to choose from: a multifaceted polygonal option ("crystal-inspired Drift Silver") and a textured option ("high-tech Carbon Night")," Digital Trends wrote.
In addition, it runs Android Lollipop fresh out of the box and backed by a 3,000 mAh battery.
As for its release, the Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe Edition will be exclusively available in Brazil on September.
Meanwhile, prior to the aforementioned device, ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih confirmed at ZenFestival event held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi, India that the company will bring ZenFone 2 Deluxe, ZenFone 2 Laser, ZenFone Selfie, ASUS ZenPad 7.0 and ASUS ZenPad 8.0 in india, VineReport added.
"We are very excited to bring our latest ZenFone models and all-new ZenPad Series to the Indian market," ASUS Chairman Shih previously said.
"These brand-new innovations are each an empowering luxury that strikes the perfect balance of beauty, functionality and performance, and offers Indian consumers a premium user experience tailored to their individual mobile needs."
