Viewers were even more hyped when rumors and speculations came out that gay characters are going to be introduced in the upcoming "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7.
But what if Bonnie will be revealed as bisexual? Recent reports say that she might just be.
In a report on Design and Trend, "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 executive producer Julie Plec said that there is a previous proposal that "Bonnie should be gay." The report mentioned Plec saying that it is possible for Bonnie to have a change of heart with this identity.
"Kat really believes in it as a potential road for her character, and we support it 100 percent, so if it ever feels right for the characters, we're all for it," the producer said in the report.
Nevertheless, Plec reportedly noted that "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 will still have Bonnie falling in love with a man.
"It's not yet a woman yet, but it's a little bit surprising. It comes strangely out of nowhere, but it will make a lot of sense. That's my enigmatic tease," she pointed out.
Many earlier reports have speculated about Damon and Bonnie getting into a relationship on "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7, after Elena left the series last season.
It has been earlier reported that actor Ian Somerhalder himself confirming that there will be new love stories in the upcoming season, noting Bonnie and Damon.
"At the end of the day, Bonnie is truly one of the only people Damon would go to bat for. It's Stefan, Bonnie, Alaric, and Damon would go out on a limb for Matt," Somerhalder said in the report. "There are very few people that he would do this for, but he loves Bonnie."
