Robin Thicke has been more open about his relationship with his young girlfriend ever since his divorce with Paula Patton was finalized.
He has even introduced April Love Geary to his 5-year-old son Julian. The three were spotted having a vacation in St. Barts a few months ago and they appeared to be a happy family.
Apart from winning the heart of Robin's only child from his ex-wife Paula Patton, the 20-year-old model also got the approval of her boyfriend's dad and stepmom.
During an interview with E! Online, Alan Thicke, who is known for playing Jason Seaver in the popular TV series "Growing Pains," shared his thoughts about his son's new girlfriend.
"She's lovely," Alan Thicke said during the premiere of "Vacation" in Los Angeles. "It's a great time for him. He has an album coming out and April is there and supportive." Robin Thicke and April Love Geary may have an 18-year age gap, but his dad doesn't seem to see a problem in that.
Alan's wife Tanya Callau, who is 28 years younger than him, also approves of April.
"The apple doesn't fall far from the tree," she said. The two have been married for 10 years, which proves that age isn't a hindrance to a couple's relationship.
"I wouldn't expect anything less," Tanya said. "I think it's also very important that she's also very mature. I think that says a lot. She's a very mature young lady. A very beautiful, smart, mature young lady." Alan agreed and added, "We like her a lot."
Since April Love Geary already got the approval of Robin Thicke's dad and stepmom, could the two be planning to take their relationship to the next level?
There were rumors coming out that the "Blurred Lines" singer is already engaged to the brunette beauty.
"Robin recently proposed to April and she said yes," a source close to the couple told Life & Style. "He doesn't want to risk losing her." However, the two both denied the engagement rumors.
