Ariel Winter's breast surgery was no secret to her "Modern Family" co-stars and they couldn't be happier for her when she finally went through the procedure last June.
"It's something we've been talking about for a long time," Winter's onscreen sister, Sarah Hyland, reportedly told E! News. "I'm super proud of her. I'm super happy for her."
"She's a tiny girl," Hyland continued. "We're practically the same size. I'm about a half of an inch or an inch taller than her and I can't imagine carrying that weight."
According to the actress, Ariel Winter's breast surgery has made her "happy" and "healthy."
"She's glowing," she added. "As long as she's healthy and happy, that's all that matters to me. She's always been a very happy little girl-oh, God, I will still [see] her as an 11-year-old in my eyes. She's really like my little sister."
The 17-year-old previously told Glamour Magazine that she decided to have her 32F breasts reduced to a more comfortable 34D because they were giving her both emotional and physical grief.
Aside from getting hate for wearing clothes that were too mature for her age, the TV star also had to deal with back and neck problems because of the weight of her very ample bosoms.
"I'd have to wear the dress that was super tight and form-fitted everywhere because if I didn't, it didn't look good," she revealed. "Everyone would [say], 'Why is she dressing so mature? That's so inappropriate for her age!' I understood what they were saying. It's not like I wanted to pick out those inappropriate dresses, it's just that I didn't really have another choice, or I was going to get ridiculed."
Thanks to Ariel Winter's breast surgery, she's more comfortable with herself now.
"I feel great. It was such a quick recovery for me. I was up and running within five days. The feeling of not having so much there was such a relief!" she gushed. "Once the surgery was completed, I can't even explain the feeling."
