Lebron James Says His Son Will Not Follow His Footsteps; Cavs Star Talks Michael Jordan Comparison

| By

It is a bit of a pressure having a father who accomplished a lot in a field he chose to stepped on.

Take Lebron James and his son Bronny for example. At 10 years old Bronny, many are already looking forward to his basketball career.

The younger Lebron James is already making waves in basketball with his mixtape going around the internet showcasing his skills. In fact, some US universities have already lined up offers to get Bronny to their team six to seven years from now.

Lebron James' son definitely already has the skills and the hype is not just because of the fact that his father is famous. King James knows about it but there is something he does not like. Lebron James' son should not follow the footsteps of his father.

"He's not gonna follow my footsteps, he has his own footsteps. As a father, you just give him a blueprint and let him create his own way," he said according to a report by Spin.ph from Manila where he is currently conducting his four-day tour for Nike Rise.

"Basketball is the last thing for him right now. He's happy to be a big brother to his small brother and there's school to take care of."

Lebron James wants his son to have his own legacy. Speaking of legacy, the Cleveland Cavaliers star addressed Michael Jordan comparisons that has been going on ever since the first time he stepped in on the NBA hardwood. He said he does not really think about it and confident his place in history is already cemented.

"I don't really get into it too much," James told Spin.ph. "My job in the game of basketball and my place in history will be there for them to label me (when the time comes)."

"But the game of basketball is just a small part of who I am," he added.
