Wally West is blazing his way to CW Network TV series "The Flash."
One of the iconic speedsters in DC Comics has been confirmed as part of the show in "The Flash" season 2 spoiler released during the San Diego Comic-Con last month. Fans were left abuzzed with this announcement by the CW TV series.
However, executive producer Gabrielle Stanton warned fans to control the excitement about the arrival of Wally West.
"I knew people were going to be excited about Wally West, but I didn't know they were going to be this excited about Wally West, which is a bummer because I can tell you nothing about Wally West," Stanton told Collider when asked for "The Flash" season 2 spoiler about Wally West. The EP assured though that the audience will like what they are going to see.
"I can say that he's going to be on [the show] and it's going to be really exciting. The fans will definitely like what we're doing with him."
Wally West, to be played by Keiynan Lonsdale, is just one of the two speedsters that will surface in the show. Earlier "The Flash" season spoiler confirmed that the silver helmet shown in last season finale is Jay Garrick's, the first ever Flash. Jay Garrick will be played by "Masters of Sex" alum Teddy Sears.
Executive Andrew Kreisberg said introducing Jay Garrick is a move they made to give Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) a brand new relationship.
Garrick, according to earlier "The Flash" season 2 spoiler, will serve as the mentor of Central City's Scarlet Speedster.
"Jay Garrick is obviously integral to the Flash mythology," Kreisberg said during a panel in last month's San Diego Comic-Con. "He was the original Flash and he's never really been portrayed to our knowledge in live action.
"Now that we've established our Flash we thought it was interesting to bring on the original Flash and create a brand new relationship for Barry to have. We're super excited about it."
"The Flash" season 2 premiere is on Oct. 6.
