[WATCH] Daniel Radcliffe And James McAvoy Create A Monster In ‘Victor Frankenstein’!

| By

Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy are "very, very proud" of their upcoming film, "Victor Frankenstein."

Unlike previous recreations of Mary Shelley's immortal story, this one seems to contain a lot more dark humor which is teased in the newest trailer released by the 20th Century Fox.

"It's alive!" Radcliffe told McAvoy in the clip, presumably after they brought the monster to life.

"That's rather obvious," his partner answered cheekily.

This is just a sample of the darkly comical dialogue embedded in the film.

In the teaser trailer, Dr. Frankenstein persuades Igor to join him in "a scientific enterprise that will change the world" where they will "create life out of death." It looks like he convinces him as Igor finds himself assisting in the experiments.

However, their questionable activities catch the attention of the authorities and they are soon pursued by police. Aside from cops, it seems that the monster they awoke is onto to them as well.

According to MTV News, this version will be told from the perspective of Igor, the crazed doctor's assistant. Instead of being humpbacked, however, "Victor Frankenstein" has a rather normal-looking Daniel Radcliffe, although with the addition of Snape-like long hair.

This is yet another new transformation for Radcliffe. Ever since the "Harry Potter" saga ended, the British star has been exploring several roles that were totally different from his wizard boy character. He has since been the devil ("Horns"), a bitter-turned-hopeless romantic ("What If"), and gay writer ("Kill Your Darlings"), among others.

Aside from Daniel Radcliffe and James McAvoy, the Paul McGuigan-helmed film will also feature "Sherlock" villain Andrew Scott as Detective Inspector Turpin. "Downton Abbey" star Jessica Brown Findlay will make an appearance as well.

The powerhouse cast will surely attract fans and curious movie fanatics to cinemas on Nov. 25.

According to Daily Mail, this version will be more along the lines of Guy Richie's more upbeat take on "Sherlock Holmes" instead of Kenneth Branagh's "sober, not to mention critically panned, 1994 version of the story."
