The Xiaomi Mi5 leaked Antutu benchmark score suggest that it runs on MediaTek Helio X20 Soc.
The upcoming flagship was first rumored to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. But due to overheating issue, Xiaomi preferred to use Snapdragon 820 instead, First Post reported.
After it lodged in the rumor mill for quite some time, new details about the Xioami Mi5 have emerged. An alleged Antutu benchmark test has revealed an impressive 73,075 score of the device, which is higher than the top dog Exynos 7420 running on the Samsung's latest flagship devices.
However, these figures may pertain to a different processor of Mediatek Helio X20 Soc, since the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 won't be ready for production until early 2016.
GSM Arena noted that Xiaomi may "opted" for the Mediatek Helio X20 Soc which lists "a tri-cluster CPU with a total of 10 cores," but the leaked TENAA certification of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 revealed only 8 cores. So, there's still a possibility that we might be seeing the Mi5 running on Snapdragon 820.
Meanwhile previous leaks revealed that, the Xiaomi Mi5 will feature a 5.2-inch Quad HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass.
Under the hood, will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor or MediaTek X20 Helio Soc paired with 4GB of RAM and 530GPU, a 16-megapixel rear camera,13-megapixel front-facing camera and a 3,000mAh battery, and will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop and will be heavily modified by Xiaomi's own MiUI 7 software, Tech Times reported.
In addition, a Plus variant has been also rumored to be on the works which will house a larger screen display of "5.7-inch QHD display with 1440 x 2560 pixels of resolution, 3500mAh battery, 23-megapixel rear snapper with OIS and laser autofocus and 12-megapixel front-facing camera."
Just like any other flagship device, both variants of Xiaomi mi5 Snapdragon 820 are said to feature USB-Type C port and fingerprint scanne.
