"The Celebrity Apprentice" hosting job is now vacant, after home network NBC officially fired Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump as host of the hit reality show. A report from the New York Post published a list of "suggested applicants" for the post, including former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner.
According to the report in the New York Post, Caitlyn Jenner is a strong candidate as "The Celebrity Apprentice" host having a business worth $100 million.
Caitlyn Jenner, who was then called Bruce Jenner, earns around $40,000 per appearance as a motivational and inspirational speaker back in 2013, OK! Magazine reported. Now that she is speaking for the LGBTQ community, the magazine believes her rate will increase even more.
The magazine also reported that the possible "The Celebrity Apprentice" host was paid as much as $35,000 for each episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."
These earnings might just make her more eligible for the job of "The Celebrity Apprentice" host.
The New York Post also suggested other figures worthy of being "The Celebrity Apprentice" host. Among them are Ryan Seacrest, Carly Fiona, Michael Bloomberg, Don Rickles and Condoleezza Rice.
As for Rice, the report believes this hosting gig might be of good use to her in launching her presidential campaign, now that Donald Trump might become the next U.S. president.
When Donald Trump made negative remarks against some Mexicans, NBC decided to cut ties with the business mogul and cancel the airing of the Miss USA pageant that happened in July.
The network's entertainment head Bob Greenblatt has officially fired the businessman from "The Celebrity Apprentice" and said that he would not return as the show host in the future, NBC News reported.
"He is a lovely guy. He was much a collaborator and worked with us closely on 'Celebrity Apprentice' and, you know, there's a really effusive great guy. We weren't in any sort of adversarial position," Greenblatt said in the report, explaining how he enjoyed professional work with Donald Trump.
