Jeb Bush vs. Donald Trump: GOP Presidential Candidates To Host Town Halls At The Same Time

| By

The Jeb Bush vs. Donald Trump rivalry heats up as both top GOP presidential candidates are set to host competing town halls in New Hampshire, Wednesday.

In an announcement last Monday, Donald Trump revealed he is hosting a town hall in Merrimack at 6:30PM EST, around the same time Bush is to host another in Derry - just 25 miles from eachother.

Asked why Trump decided to hold a town hall meeting around the same time, he said, "Because Bush draws so poorly, I figured it would be a good time to draw a crowd. Something like that."

On the other hand, Jeb Bush's camp remains unfazed.

"Someone should tell Mr. Trump he will be trying to troll us from an entirely different county," Bush's spokesperson, Allie Brandenburger told the Wallstreet Journal.

Lately, the Jeb Bush vs. Donald Trump competition has become more and more intense.

Trump, who is largely criticized for his controversial statements, recently slammed Bush's alleged reliance on his wealthy sponsors and his brother's (former President George W. Bush) controversial political decisions on the war against Iraq during his presidency.

On the other hand, Bush slammed Trump for his misogynist views on women as well as racist comments on Mexicans.

Despite Bush's father and brother's winning numbers in New Hampshire in previous elections, it was reported that voters' support for Jeb Bush has faded in recent weeks. Meanwhile, Donald Trump rated higher, earning 25 percent supporters in recent national polls.

Two other GOP candidates - Scott Walker and Marco Rubio have also fallen behind, according to a Fox News poll conducted Aug. 13 -16. Bush is also earning dismal numbers even amongst Republican polls, according to the survey.

Meanwhile, in the middle of the Jeb Bush vs. Donald Trump smack-downs, Hillary Clinton seems to be favoring the former president's brother over the business giant.

This, according to Trump, is Clinton's way to "raise up" Bush in the eyes of voters and to completely eradicate Trump from the top GOP presidential candidates list.
