In Marvel's 2015 D23 expo presentation, Benedict Cumberbatch, delivered a message to "Doctor Strange" fans.
"I'm very excited to be taking on Doctor Strange for Marvel," he said in his video footage addressed to Marvel's "Doctor Strange" fans.
In addition to being "very excited," the 39-year-old English actor also teased fans of what to expect not only in "Doctor Strange" but with the entire Marvel Universe.
"He's an extraordinary character and brings in a whole other dimension... hmmm... MULTIPLE dimensions to the Marvel universe."
Marvel Studios boss, Kevin Feige additionally explained how the giant studio is planning to bring together more of the comics universe to MCU.
"The goal of these films is always to continue to expand what a comic book film is, what a Marvel Cinematic Universe film is," Feige said according to Screen Rant. "And starting a couple years ago with Guardians of the Galaxy, this year with Ant-Man, next year with Doctor Strange, continuing to push the boundaries of that cinematic universe."
In other "Doctor Strange" news, Benedict Cumberbatch will reportedly joined by other stars including Chiwetel Ejiofor and Tilda Swinton.
"Deadline has learned definitively what role Chiwetel Ejiofor will play when he suits up for Doctor Strange, the Scott Derrickson-directed Marvel Studiosfilm that will star Benedict Cumberbatch as the title character. Ejiofor, rumored to be joining the film, will play Baron Mordo, an enemy of Doctor Strange who first appeared in the comic Strange Tales in 1963," the publication confirmed.
While Ejiofor will reportedly play the role of Baron Modo, Tilda Swinton on the other hand, is reportedly going to play Doctor Strange's mentor.
"The actress is negotiations to portray the Ancient One, the Tibetan mystic who is a mentor to Dr. Strange," the publication revealed.
Benedict Cumberbatch is said to be preparing physically for the upcoming movie.
Just like Chris Hemsworth and Chris Pratt, Cumberbatch is said to be "wolfing double the daily amount of calories and spending hours with a personal trainer," according to The Sun.
Adding, "Dr Strange was always muscly in the cartoons so Benedict has to look the part when they start filming in the autumn.
"Skinny Sherlock Holmes will be the last thing anyone thinks about."
"Doctor Strange" is set to hit theaters on Nov. 4, 2016.
