The upcoming Huawei Kirin 950 couldn't be any better than the Samsung's Exynos 7420 as benchmark leaked online.
As to date Samsung's Exynos 7420, used on its latest flagships devices, tops other processors, but in a leaked benchmark Huawei brings a stiff competition with its Kirin 950.
In comparison of the two, Huawei Kirin 950 is said to be based on TSMC's 16nm FinFET processes and will run on octa-core processor-with four cores of Cortex-A72 variety clocked at 2.4GHz, while the Eyxnos 7420 has four Cortex-A57 cores, Softpedia reported.
GSM Arena added that the other four cores will feature Cortex-A57 and as for its GPU, "it will be a Mali-T880 unit and the SoC will support LPDDR4 RAM."
According to Wccftech, the Huawei Kirin 950 has by far scored 1,909 points in the single-core test, and 6,096 points on multiple tests. On the other hand, Samsung the Exynos 7420 scored 1,486 points and 4,970 points respectively.
The Huawei Kirin 950 is expected to debut on the rumored Huawei Mate , which is due early next year. But as for the time being, the Kirin 940 with an octa-core CPU with 4x Cortex-A72 at 2.2GHz and 4x Cortex-A53, Mali-T860 GPU and LPDDR4 RAM which will run on the upcoming Huawei Mate 7s can still outperform other processors available in the market today, GSM Arena added.
Aside from the powerful processor, Huawei is set to unveil its Nexus phablet as the Chinese phone manufacturer teamed up with Google to manufacture the next Nexus device.
The Huawei Nexus device was rumored to sport a 5.7-inch screen with QHD display and will boats a metal finish design with front-facing speakers again.
In addition, it measures 159.4 x 78.3 x 8.5mm and will feature a fingerprint sensor on its rear. Also, it is said to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and will support USB Type C connection too.
