Developer EA Sports rolls out "FIFA 16" closed beta version.
The "FIFA 16" closed beta, weighs around 15.7GB, is currently exclusive to players who received an invite for their Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles. Instructions on how to download the game has been sent out by EA through email, FIFPlay reported.
The beta version in all platforms include Pro Clubs, Career Mode, Online Seasons and Ultimate Team game modes, but its teams and players database are still based on "FIFA 15."
Invited beta testers may leave their feedbacks on FIFA Forum's official thread after downloading the game, "then run the FIFA 16 Closed Beta, after the game is completely started, log back in to the forums, then you should see the beta forums at the top of the categories page."
As the beta version debut a few days ago, according to Product Reviews the game has been plagued with several issues such as it is being corrupted on PS4 console, Attack of the Fanboy reported.
"The issue seems to be isolated specifically to those who started their FIFA 16 closed beta download and then put their PS4 in Rest Mode. If you start the download remotely while your console is in Rest Mode, it supposedly should not be affected," Attack of the Fanboy wrote.
For tester who are experiencing this issue, EA came up with a simple solution which could address the issue, Segment Next reported.
- You should not enter rest mode by pressing the power button on the system or by pressing the PS button on the controller and selecting rest mode
- You should ensure your Power Save Settings [Settings > Power Save Settings > Set Time Until PS4 Turns Off > General (Applications)] allow sufficient time for the download to complete or is set to Do Not Turn Off
- If the issue is encountered, hold the power button on the system until it turns off [do not tap it] then turn it back on
"FIFA 16" is slated to release on Sept. 22, 2015 for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
