Want to Ride An Alien Spaceship? ‘Toy Story Land’ Is Also Opening Soon In Disneyland Hollywood

Are you not much of a "Star Wars" fan and more of a "Toy Story" geek? Your delight is coming as "Toy Story Land" is reportedly in the works in Disneyland Hollywood, where visitors can ride an alien spaceship and more.

In the report on io9.com, Disneyland is building a "Toy Story Land" featuring new and exciting rides and attractions that guests can experience.

Disneyland's "Toy Story Land" will take the visitors to areas that made to be like the backyard of Andy and will make them feel they are just as small as Woody, Buzz and Rex the dinosaur, the report added.

Among the most anticipated rides in Disneyland's "Toy Story Land" are the Slinky Dog roller coaster, a ride inside the alien saucers inspired by the three-eyed green aliens in the movie.

Aside from these, the well-known theme park ride called the "Toy Story Midway Mania" is also getting a makeover as the report said it will be expanded, which will let more guests to experience it.

The "Toy Story Midway Mania" is "like a giant first person shooter game where you ride through and shoot a bunch of toy target for points," the report added.

Star Wars theme park

Apart from Disneyland's "Toy Story Land," the company also announced it is building a Star Wars theme park as part of their acquisition of Lucasfilm.

Disney is reportedly building not just one, but two Star War-themed parks in their locations in Anaheim, California and Orland, Florida.

"These new lands at Disneyland and Walt Disney World will transport guests to a whole new 'Star Wars' planet, include an epic 'Star Wars' adventure that puts you in the middle of climactic battle between the First Order and the Resistance," Disney CEO Bob Iger told Ars Technica.

The report further mentioned that the upcoming theme park will let guests ride and control the Millennium Falcon and experience the Mos Eisley Cantina.

This Star Wars-themed park is said to be the "largest, single-themed land expansion ever" throughout the long history of Disneyland. "Toy Story Land" and the Star Wars World have no released dates yet, but the report said construction is starting in 2017.
