While fans are still waiting for the official announcement of "Gears of War 4" release date, Kenny McDonnell claimed in an article that it will be more exciting than "Halo 5."
Following Gamescom in Köln, Germany, the team of McDonnell has reportedly tried out upcoming games including "Halo 5" and "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain."
And with the experience he revealed that the upcoming Coalitioin game is emotional.
"I didn't anticipate that Guitar Hero Live would be as enjoyable as it really is, or that playing Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain would actually be so emotional," he said of his experience at Gamescom.
He reportedly lost his excitement with "Halo 5" after its underwhelming performance during the trial.
"But there was another game that I found to be particularly underwhelming and that was Halo 5. After Gamescom, the Xbox One exclusive that I'm looking forward to the most now is Gears of War 4," he said."
While he did not further divulge details about the upcoming game, (save it for the release date), Christian Today has reported that there will actually be two new characters to be introduced in the upcoming "GOW 4."
A man named JD and his female companion named Kait will reportedly replace Marcus Fenix in the game.
While Fenix's story has ended in "GOW 3," reports have it that the fourth installment to the gaming franchise will see JD and Kait embark on a new adventure closer to the original horror game.
Rod Fergusson has shared more details about the game in an interview with IGN.
"We're going back to something personal, intimate, dark, and mysterious, being afraid of the boogeyman," he told IGN.
Furthermore, it's been said that JD and Kait will be different from Marcus Fenix. The new protagonists are expected to feature an whole new perspective to "Gears of War 4."
"You look at someone in, say, 20 years of age, and there is still much to develop. There is a greater opportunity. The impact of the game on the character may be higher," he said in an article at MyTechBits.com.
And while Microsoft has yet to announce an official release date to "Games of War 4," Trusted Reviews claimed that Fergusson, who has now learned to stick to the schedule will most likely schedule the game's launch on Q4 of 2016.
