Beyoncé's Super Bowl halftime show was considered a hit by most - following her lip-synching controversy a week earlier - except for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) who say she showed too much animal skin.
The singer's sexy black outfit was designed by Rubin Singer and was mostly leather, but also incorporated iguana and python skin.
"We would take a bet that if Beyoncé watched our video exposés...she'd probably not want to be seen again in anything made of snakes, lizards, rabbits, or other animals who died painfully,"PETA told E! News. Her outfit also incorporated iguana and python skin (but, for the record, no rabbit) in addition to nylon and other man-made materials.
"Today's fashions are trending toward humane vegan options, and Beyoncé's Super Bowl outfit missed the mark on that score," PETA added.
The organization, already unhappy with Beyoncé for wearing mink to the presidential Inauguration, added she'd "missed the mark" on today's trend toward "humane vegan" clothing.
Beyonce, 31, has not commented on the criticism from Peta.
The Super Bowl 2013 was watched by 108.41 million people, with roughly 104 million staying put to watch Beyonce perform, according to Nielsen.
