David Ramsey's John Diggle is one of those that will have bigger role in the superhero world when "Arrow" season 4 release date comes.
Proof to that is the decision of showrunners and executive producers to give him his own costume. For three seasons, Diggle was contented as a side kick to Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) but received same level of danger and threat. In season four, the 'black driver', as fans fondly call him, can somehow find ways to conceal his identity from the enemies.
"Arrow" season 4 release date is fast approaching but not much details are being shared about John Diggle's new identity. As a result, fans are forced to make their own theory. Unfortunately for them, their common assumption that John Diggle will become the Guardian is wrong.
Spoiler TV confirmed Oliver's driver, bodyguard, partner, adviser, and best man will not become Guardian. However, "Arrow" already has a concrete plan that pass through DC studio.
"We've always said Diggle's comic book trajectory is Diggle. DC Comics has put John Diggle in the comics," Spoiler TV wrote.
"We're going to give him a code name out of practicality. I can't tell you when it's going to happen, because every time I write it, I end up taking it out, because it feels forced. I need to find the right moment for it. But we have the code name, DC's approved it... but it's unique to Diggle, and that's what I like about it."
Diggle definitely needs his own costume with what happened to his wife in season three. Although they are both capable of defending themselves, it will be harder now since he and his wife Lyla already has a child.
Plus, the fourth season will see Team Arrow meet a no non-sense villain Damien Darhk called by EPs as the Prince of Darkness.
"Arrow" season 4 release date is October 7. Aside from Amell and Ramsey, other cast returning are Will Holland, Emily Bett Rickards, Katie Cassidy, and Paul Blackthorne.
