‘Heroes Reborn’ Premiere Gets Extra Hour! [Watch] The Prequel Webseries Here!

| By

"Heroes" geeks rejoice! NBC recently announced a one hour extension for the "Heroes Reborn" premiere this Sept. 24!

According to Deadline, Tim Kring's reboot will be getting two hours for its first ever viewing, pushing "The Blacklist" season 3 airing another week. The show will directly be followed by the Wesley Snipes-starring series "The Player" at 10 p.m.

The series will see some original "Heroes" stars return as their past characters, including Jack Coleman (Noah Bennett), Masi Oka (Hiro Nakamura), Jimmy Jean-Louis (The Haitian), and Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman), among others.

New characters will also be gracing viewers' TV screens. Zachary Levi, Robbie Kay, Ryan Guzman, Henry Zebrowski and more will be joining the group.

Aside from the extra hour awarded to Kring's revival of the cult classic, the series also released a six-episode webseries that would hopefully bridge the gap between Claire Bennett's public announcement of her powers and the upcoming "Heroes Reborn" premiere.

The online clips show the story of Phoebe Frady, who is a shadowmancer, as she discovers and eventually gets overwhelmed by her own powers. It also explains her brother Quentin's fascination with EVOs and his reason for approaching Noah Bennett.

"It's been five years since the public became aware of the existence of evolved humans or 'EVOs' who possess incredible, supernatural abilities," the synopsis of the prequel webseries read. "In that time, the public has grown to either fear or revere EVOs. An online community forms around the rallying cry of the anonymous Hero_Truther, who seeks to humanize EVOs in the wake of lies, slander and fear mongering.

"Among those posting their personal stories is Phoebe Frady (Aislinn Paul, 'Degrassi: The Next Generation'), who is encouraged to document her origin story by her brother, Quentin (Henry Zebrowski, 'A to Z'). But as Phoebe struggles to control her power, she attracts unwanted attention from a mysterious new company."
