Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) might find a new ally come the second second season.
No it is not Wally West. It is someone that first foreshadowed in the first season. Someone that does the same thing as the Flash when he is in his ordinary form.
Recent "The Flash" season 2 spoiler revealed a former STAR Labs employee is going to resurface. She did not appear physically but was mentioned by other laboratory people Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes).
"Arrow addicts may recall Cisco and Caitlin making mention of ex-S.T.A.R. Labs employee Doctor Light when they first appeared in Season 2's "The Man Under the Hood."
Turns out, that was some stealthy foreshadowing. Stanton tells us that the metahuman will turn up this season on The Flash - but "it's going to be the female version" of the character," TV Line's Michael Ausiello wrote when a fan asked for a "The Flash" season 2 spoiler.
There are two Doctor Light in the comics. The other one, male, is a supervillain who figured in battles with Teen Titans and Justice League.
The Doctor Light coming in "The Flash" season 2 could be Kimiyo Hoshi whose field of expertise is astronomy. She works with the Justice League and had some run ins with her male counterpart.
Another exciting "The Flash" season 2 spoiler Ausiello shared is about the highly-anticipated arrival of Wally West and how he will be introduced in the show.
"We are a doing our special Flash magic where we take a comic book character and give it just a little bit of a 'Hmmm,' so that you're like, "Oh!" showrunner Gabrielle Stanton says. And while she's mum on specifics, Stanton did tease that Wally will be incorporated "in a really, really cool way... that I don't think the audience will see coming. He will definitely have a very interesting and close relationship with Team Flash."
"The Flash" season 2 premiere is on Oct. 6.
