'Arrow' Season 4 Spoiler: Felicity Getting Kidnapped Is What Show Will Try To Avoid, Says EP

| By

Recent "Arrow" season 4 spoilers speak of new threats in the life of Starling City people and Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell).

Damien Darhk, Anarchy, even Malcolm Merlyn could still pose threat to beloved city of the Arrow. The more bad guys around, the more unsafe people related the Emerald Archer will feel. One of those is Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) who is now his official girlfriend.

It is a well known comic book cliché that to get to the hero, a villain should come after his/her loved one. In the fourth season of "Arrow", fans can assume that the bad guys will try to hurt Felicity.

Good news for Olicity fans. According to an "Arrow" season 4 spoiler from executive producer Marc Guggenheim, Oliver can rest about the thoughts of Felicity getting dragged on his night adventures. Felicty is safe for now.

"We're going to avoid, for as long as we can, Felicity being kidnapped," Guggenheim said in an interview with Zap2It.

Felicity is already part of Team Arrow and has skills that can fend off villains. It won't be surprising if she get to kick some ass too in the season.

Oliver will still be more careful about Felicity since the thing he aspires big time is finally happening and there is no way he will mess it up.

"The relationship with Felicity is the thing he aspires to in terms of a more positive, healthy environment," "Arrow" executive producer Marc Guggenheim added. "But can [he] do it while also a vigilante? That's going to be the two things pulling at him throughout the year."

While villains are pretty much out of discussion regarding the growth of Felicity and Oliver's relationship, an 'other woman' might test them.

"Arrow" season 4 spoiler revealed a love interest from the past will be featured. The new character, which is yet to be named, will be played by Elysia Rotaru.

"Oliver is gonna have a love interest in the past that will serve as a parallel or potentially a contrast to his love affair with Felicity in the present," executive producer Marc Guggenheim tells EW.

Oliver and Felicity drove to Coast City where he spent significant time. Fan theories have it that Rotaru's character will also show up in the present Coast City and meet the pair, eventually becoming a threat to Oliver and Felicity's romance.
