Sony's Project Morpheus, along with the Oculus Rift, will be among the VR headsets that are getting Cloudhead Games' first-person adventure game "The Gallery: Six Elements."
Watch the developer's creative director Denny Unger share the news in the video below:
As VR Focus noted, the game is also headed for the HTC Vive VR where it can take advantage of Room Scale tracking technology as well as other features Valve's SteamVR offers.
"No details were offered on just how the title will adapt to [Project Morpheus and Oculus Rift] which, to the best of the VR audience's knowledge, don't offer the same Room Scale solutions, in which players can walk around an area of up to 15 feet by 15 feet," the website said.
However, Sony's Project Morpheus VR headset can take advantage of the PS4's PlayStation Move motion-tracking controller.
"The Gallery: Six Elements" will also be episodic, according to Unger. "Call of the Starseed," the first of four episodes, will reportedly launch with the HTC Vive later this year.
However, Cloudhead Games didn't say when other episodes or if the title will be made available to other VR headsets.
In the same video, Unger revealed the VR studio's "Blink" locomotion system.
"Using an 'elastic VR playspace,' Cloudhead claims to be delivering a '100-percent nausea-free play experience,'" IGN said.
In a statement, the studio said the technology is the combination of three systems: Cinematic Blink, Volume Blink and Precision Blink.
"Through non-intrusive in-game positional cues, and the ability to 'blink' across distances, Blink allows players a safe, scalable play environment, allowing you to physically walk around a space or stand still at your desk."
As IGN noted, Cloudhead's Blink technology could overcome the problem of nausea, "usually caused by the player seeing motion that their inner ear isn't mimicking."
It will reportedly debut on "The Gallery: Call of the Starseed" later this year which will be at PAX Prime from August 28 to 31 in Seattle, Wash.
Sony's Project Morpheus VR headset is expected to launch in the first half of 2016.
