Producers and even Kit Harington himself have all insisted on Jon Snow's death in "Game Of Thrones."
However, the British actor's extended stay in Belfast has been giving fans hope that the beloved character would somehow come back to life in season six.
Fan Daniel Steele was able to shake hands with Harington, Ben Crompton (who plays Eddison Tollett) and Iwan Rheon (Ramsay Bolton) on his birthday just a couple of days ago at a pub in Belfast.
What alerted Winter Is Coming, however, is the fact that the man in question is still wearing a full head of his Jon Snow locks.
Harington might still be staying in Belfast to shoot his funeral scene. After all, other past "Game Of Thrones" deaths still brought back characters to film their funerals like Charles Dance and Jack Gleeson.
Could Kit Harington be filming Jon Snow's last few moments on "Game Of Thrones"?
Meanwhile, fans also spotted Owen Teale, better known as the Alliser Thorne who led the betrayal against the beloved character in Belfast, suggesting that viewers will see him again next season.
Watchers On The Wall also reportedly published photos from Magheramorne, the known set location for Castle Black.
According to the article, "a fair amount of smoke can be seen billowing from the set" which suggests that they might be filming a funeral pyre for the slain Lord Commander.
On the other hand, fans commented on a possibility that burning Jon Snow could be fulfilment of the predictions for Azor Ahai, the supposed warrior that will defeat the White Walkers.
"Jon Snow shall be set upon his funeral pyre and [Azor Ahai] will rise like the Phoenix," one comment read, while someone else added, "Jon Snow is dead. Long live Azor Ahai; the Warrior of Light; the Son of Fire; the prince that was promised."
Will Kit Harington still play Jon Snow in future "Game Of Thrones" episodes or will he, like some fans think, be born out of fire and become the promised savior just like the prophecies suggested?
