Hugh Hefner's Secretary Mary O'Connor Dies

Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner's secretary of more than 40 years died over the weekend following ongoing health issues, according to TMZ.

Hefner took to his Twitter page on Sunday to share the sad news about Mary O'Connor, who was his secretary for more than 40 years, and appeared on his reality show "The Girls Next Door." He tweeted, "Mary passed away today. We loved her more than words can say."

Hugh's wife Crystal Harris, 26, also took to her Twitter account to pay tribute to Mary, saying: ''Hef's long time secretary & my dear friend Mary O'Connor has passed away. It's a very sad day here at the Playboy Mansion. We love you Mary (sic)''

Mary O'Connor, was his secretary for more than 40 years and appeared on his reality show "The Girls Next Door."

Former "Girls Next Door" stars Holly Madison, Kendra Wilkinson and Bridget Marquardt also took to Twitter to send their condolences, along with Hefner's new wife, Crystal Harris.

The 86-year-old Playboy boss previously credited O'Connor with helping him reconcile with Harris after his bride-to-be called off their 2011 wedding just days before the ceremony.

Hefner previously explained, "It's Mary O'Connor that brought Crystal Harris back. Crystal was miserable and said so. Mary told Crystal to write and tell me, which she did." The reunited couple exchanged vows at the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills, Calif., on New Year's Eve.
