The latest "Doctor Who" season 9 rumors suggest Whovians could be seeing not one but multiple Doctors in the finale including David Tennant and Paul McGann.
First up, fans have reportedly seen the Tenth Doctor meeting with former "Doctor Who" executive producer Russell T. Davies in Cardiff where the show films, as The Daily Mirror reported.

But what could Tennant be doing in the "Doctor Who" set? Carter Matt speculated that bringing the former Doctor, who is set to star in Marvel's "Jessica Jones" Netflix series, "could be a fun way to callback to somewhat to [Peter] Capaldi's own past in the show."
Fans may recall that it was during Tennant's run when Capaldi first appeared on the show as Caecilius in the 2008 episode "The Fires of Pompeii."
Conversely, the last time audiences saw the Tenth Doctor was in the 50th Anniversary Special, "The Day of the Doctor" where Capaldi made a cameo.
Apart from David Tennant, rumors also suggest Paul McGann may also appear in the final episode of "Doctor Who" season 9.
Fan site Warped Factor claimed to have an informant who has allegedly been to the BBC sci-fi show's set. The website claimed that McGann's Eight Doctor will be part of a "degeneration scene" where previous Doctors will be seen.
"One can presumably guess that the majority of it would be done with quick cuts via CGI, but we have been told that it will [include] extended stop-offs at certain Doctors."
The Eight Doctor will be one of them and McGann has supposedly "already filmed his scenes."
Executive producer Steven Moffat previously said that the season 9 finale will be a cliffhanger fans won't see coming.
"If you put these two rumors together, this could be the reason Tennant is in town, as well," Doctor Who Watch said.
The website did advise Whovians to take the rumors with caution.
Whether "Doctor Who" season 9 will have David Tennant and Paul McGann appear in the finale remains to be seen. The new season premieres on September 21.
