Taylor Swift has been dubbed as a serial dater because of her short-lived relationships with famous men including Jake Gyllenhaal, Connor Kennedy, and Harry Styles.
The 25-year-old singer is also known for writing breakup songs about her ex-boyfriends that's why some people thought she was only using them to create hits.
During an interview with Vanity Fair, the Grammy Award-winning musician confessed that she tried to avoid the media because of her highly-publicized breakups.
"For the better part of 2012 and 2013, I did not go online, because I didn't like what they were saying about me," she said. "And it was so overwhelmingly inaccurate that I knew there was nothing I could do to fight."
Taylor Swift remained single for more than a year and revealed that she felt more confident and happy without being linked to anyone. The magazine asked her why she has decided to face the media again.
"I think that I just decided if [the media] was going to say that about me, that I was boy-crazy and so dependent on men and all that, I wasn't going to give them a reason to say that anymore, and I wasn't going to be seen around any men for years-so that's what I did," the singer replied.
The "Bad Blood" hitmaker also admitted that she would never get in another relationship if that would mean changing who she is or taking her out from her friends who means everything to her.
Maybe she has found those qualities on famous Scottish DJ Calvin Harris. The two started hooking up last February at the BRIT Awards and has since then spotted going out on dates.
Taylor Swift revealed how she's handling dating now after all her highly-publicized breakup dramas in the past.
"Not looking for anything, not necessarily being open to anything, and only being open to the idea that, if I found someone who would never try to change me, that would be the only person I could fall in love with," she said. "Because, you know, I was in love with my life."
