After failing to join 2015 San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel has reportedly released a possible plot spoiler for the sequel and it involves a new villain.
While it is not confirmed yet, Spoiler TV claimed that in addition to Titan Thanos, being the main villain in "Avengers: Infinity War," an accomplice will be introduced.
Marvel is said to be eyeing on a perfect actor to play the villainous alter-ego of Adam Warlock called Magus.
Apparently, Marvel is currently holding a casting call for the said role.
"Auditions are now getting underway for the Marvel Studios feature film 'Avengers: Infinity War - Part I' lead and supporting roles. The auditions for new lead and supporting roles will be taking place in Los Angeles, CA. The film is the first in a two-part sequel in which Thanos plays a major role, along with the Magus. Adam Warlock's bad side, the Magus, separates from his body and assembles the Infinity Gauntlet. Magus creates doppelgangers of Earth's heroes as part of his plan to recreate a universe of evil. "Avengers: Infinity War - Part I" will be shot entirely on the IMAX/ARRI 2D digital camera."
And with the Marvel Cinematic Universe understandly being connecter, there are also reports claiming that "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt is going to join the Avengers for a crossover intended for both "Infinity War" part 1 and 2.
His latest interview with GQ Magazine has started to fuel the rumors of his involvement with "Avengers 3."
Chris Pratt apparently said that his contract with Marvel includes two more "Guardians of the Galaxy" films and a couple other movies, which he failed to identify.
"I'm tied to doing three more, or five more, Guardians of the Galaxy or whatever it is, you know, two more Guardians plus another couple."
With that being said, it's not really far fetched if Chris Pratt is indeed appearing in "Avengers 3," especially that there are also speculations that the rumored villain Adam Warlock is going to appear in "Guardians of the Galaxy 2."
"Avengers 3" is divided into two parts, in which the first part will hit theaters on May 4, 2018 while part 2 will be released on May 3, 2019.
