"Teen Wolf" Season 5 is getting more and more exciting as the weeks pass by. The eighth episode ended with Stiles discovering that Deputy Parrish has more to show, and that he has something to do with the bodies.
Next week on "Teen Wolf" Season 5, Deputy Parrish's identity is reportedly going to be revealed.
"Though we speculated that tonight might be the night we discover what exactly Deputy Jordan Parrish is on 'Teen Wolf,' it seems next week might in fact be the big reveal," website Fashion & Style said in their report.
New synopsis for "Teen Wolf" Season 5 says truth about Deputy Parrish will finally be revealed to Stiles and Lydia, with Scott asking an ally for help on the rest of next week's show, the report added.
The identity of Deputy Parrish is one of the puzzle pieces fans are solving as they watch "Teen Wolf" Season 5. Stories have started to come out as the season began, including some possibilities that he might be a phoenix or a dragon.
The last episode of "Teen Wolf" Season 5, titled "Ouroboros" seemed to have provided a major clue about his identity. According to Fashion & Style, Ouroboros is an ancient symbol that represents rebirth, which is approximate to the phoenix and dragon creatures.
But the report speculated that Deputy Parrish is more likely a phoenix, because fans "appear to feel that a humanoid dragon is less likely than a humanoid phoenix."
The report also added that Deputy Parrish might have something to do with the Chimera bodies.
Some fan theories
Website Design and Trend published five fan theories about the identity of Deputy Parrish on "Teen Wolf" Season 5. Some of these theories point to the fact that he might be a phoenix, a dragon, an Ifrit, a Fire Kitsune or a Hellhound.
Is Deputy Parrish a Kitsune like Kira? The report pointed out Parrish's orange eyes and his immunity to fire as two reasons that make him one, but fans reportedly believe he is not because of his previous encounter with Scott.
"Hellhound is a wide variety of ominous or hellish supernatural dogs, who are often assigned to guard the entrances to the world of the dead, such as graveyards and burial grounds," the report explained on another possibility.
"They also undertake other duties related to the afterlife or the supernatural, such as hunting lost souls," Design and Trend added.
How about being an Ifrit? The report said these creatures are associated with the Arab culture, and pointed out that Deputy Parrish once served in the Middle East before heading to Beacon Hills as a sheriff.
Two of the strongest possibilities were also offered some explanation. When he was set on fire, Deputy Parrish was unharmed, making them speculate that he might be dragon, a creature unharmed by fires.
"The Ouroboros is an ancient symbol depicting a serpent or dragon eating its own tail. And since the symbol is associated with self-reflexivity, cyclicality and rebirth, it is commonly used in reference to phoenixes," Design and Trend said.
