Johnny Depp may be bidding farewell to the "Pirates of the Caribbean" film franchise after the fifth installment.
The 52-year-old actor is known for portraying Captain Jack Sparrow so it's either fans won't see the character anymore or another actor will take over the role.
According to The Inquisitr, Depp is rumored to be on thin ice with the cast and crew of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales."
The film was originally scheduled for release in the summer of 2015, but they had to move it because of the actor's personal issues. The fifth installment is now slated to hit the theaters on July 7, 2017.
Johnny Depp's hand was injured several months ago and it allegedly delayed the filming up to four weeks. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he had to travel back to the United States last March after the off-set accident that occurred in Australia. MSN News also reported that around 200 production crew members won't be working for two weeks until the actor returns on set.
Apart from the hand injury, the star of "Mortdecai" and his wife Amber Heard got in trouble with the law when they smuggled their two dogs into Australia.
E! Online reported that Depp could go to jail for ten years or pay the fine of $265,000 for breaking the quarantine laws.
There were also rumors that Johnny Depp is having marital problems and that caused a delay in the filming of "Pirates of the Caribbean 5."
Sources revealed to Star Magazine that the husband and wife were constantly fighting that's why the producers banned Amber Heard on the set.
"Finally, enough was enough, and producers politely asked Johnny to send Amber home as soon as possible," their source revealed. "Right now, everyone's primary focus should be wrapping up this film. He didn't want to upset her, so he gently explained the situation and she understood."
It seems that the producers have had enough of all the Johnny Depp drama that they are letting him go after "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales."
Movie Pilot revealed a list of celebrities who they think could best replace Johnny Depp and included in the list was Jim Carrey, who was considered for the Jack Sparrow role before Depp. Other candidates include Dan Stevens (Downtown Abbey), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy), and Ruby Rose (Orange Is The New Black).
